 3D Printing & rapid prototyping in our Graphite material gives you strong, high performance parts.

 

A recent addition to our 'Strong & Durable' service, our Graphite based 3D printing service gives you the ideal material for producing designs where good strength and affordable build pricing are paramount. Parts produced in this material also offer good detail and the 'Dark Grey' colour gives a very nice aesthetic look and feel to your 3D printed designs.


3D Printing in our Graphite material is via the Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) process where the base powder material is melted layer by layer by a laser. Each layer is 100 micron thick to give a good surface finish.  We recommend that wall thickness or features in your design should be in excess of 0.8mm to ensure integrity.
 

Static Dissipative:

Our 3D Printed Graphite material has Static Dissipative properties, making it ideal for applications were static build up is undesirable or even dangerous. The considered "safe" range for materials (between Conductive and Dissipative) is 100k Ohms – 35M Ohms and we've measured Graphite SLS to be within this range at 280k – 485k Ohms.

Our Graphite 3D printing is part of our 'Strong and Durable' service and ideal for rapid prototyping pre production parts & models where strength and durability are required.  3D Printed Graphite gives your designs:

    Smooth surface finish with fine texture.

    'Dark Grey \ Black' in colour and gives an aesthetically pleasing look and feel.

    Individual details and wall thicknesses down to 0.8mm.

    High levels of accuracy & dimensional stability.

    Strength & Durability with robust material properties.

    Print at 0.1 mm (100 Micron) layers.

  • Graphite reinforced material built in 0.1mm layers giving good Stiffness v Weight ratio's.
  • Temperature Resistance of 170^c.
  • Density 1.1 g/cm3
  • Tensile Modulus 4240Mpa
  • Tensile Strength 58Mpa
  • Elongation at Break 6%
  • Typical accuracy +/- 0.1mm depending on design, geometry and build orientation.
  • Static Dissipative  - 280k – 485k Ohms.
  • Build Area - 330 x 280 x 370mm
  • Optional sealing service to give your parts additional Chemical, Air and Water resistance.
