3D Printing in our SLS Nylon PA materials gives you large build options in a durable material with good temperature resistance and low conductivity.
Another addition to our 'Strong & Durable' 3d printing service, our Nylon based material 3D printed with the SLS process, gives you an ideal material where you need to build large designs. Parts in Nylon PA materials have good temperature resistance and comparatively low build costs. Clients have tested the material for use in applications in close proximity to electrical conductors.
3D Printing in our Nylon material is via the Selective laser sintering (SLS) process where a powder layer is laser melted layer by layer with a laser. Each layer is typically 100 micron* thick and gives a slightly textured surface finish. We recommend that wall thickness or features in your design should be in excess of 0.8 mm to ensure integrity and a reliable build.
We offer 3d printed SLS PA and PA-GF Nylon materials from both EOS (Large format option) and 3D-Systems. Also, it's worth checking our Nylon PA12 3D printing via the HP MJF system.
Other options SLS options include TPU and PA12-CF (Carbon Fibre)
Large Format Builds
For your Large format requirements we offer SLS 3D-Printed PA12 and PA12-GF materials with a build volume up to 310 x 310 x 600mm.
Material properties are similar to our PA and PA GF materials but offer a Black dye option and an options ceramic post processing for a smoother surface finish. Minimum surface roughness for this option can be about Rz = 60 µm with post processing.
To summarise, 3D Printed Nylon SLS gives your designs:
High temperature resistance of 170 deg C (HDT).
Large format build volumes, 300 x 350 x 400mm (option for up to 310 x 310 x 590mm)
Excellent aesthetics in an 'off white' colour.
Fine individual details and wall thicknesses down to 1.0mm.

Watertight - Parts are usually watertight with wall thicknesses over 2mm without any additional coating.
